Butterfly Tail Goldfish

The butterfly tail goldfish or called the jikin in Japan, is distinguished by a double tail fin has a distinctive 'X' shape. Therefore they have another name that is the star tail goldfish. The butterfly-tail goldfish is believed to have been developed from the hardy common goldfish (or wakin in Japanese).

Butterfly Tail Goldfish has a community temperament, they are native come from Asian and an omnivorous fish species. Butterfly Tail Goldfish actually similar to common goldfish except when viewed from behind, the Butterfly Tail has a double tail fin-like shape 'X'. Butterfly Tail Goldfish is characterized long, torpedo-shaped body with white color and lips, fins, as well as gills  cover with red color. Butterfly tails can grow up to 9 inches long. The jikin, however, is a rare Japanese variety and they are harder to find in pet stores than other goldfish varieties.
